Please read carefully before paying booking appointments and paying any booking fees.
All appointments will only be booked after a consultation, skin test and booking fee has been paid. This will secure your time and date booked in. Should you need to change the appointment a new booking fee will need to be paid and all fees are non refundable. By booking and paying these fees you are agreeing to these terms set out by all staff at the Butterfly effect salon.
No chemical service will be carried out without a skin test. This test must be carried out every 12 months. Or if you have used a shop bought colour in between salon visits. As per our colour lines and insurance guidelines.
Toners will only last approximately up to 4 weeks, they will and do fade. This can depend on lots of factors, products, amount you wash, hard water area, sunlight. These will need to be topped up regularly please talk to your stylist for recommendations on your particular colour.
All colour appointments are discussed with you prior to your appointment to ascertain what you are wanting to achieve. At times for the look you require may take more than one appointment and this will be made clear. Please be honest with your hair history as this can determine the final look and what we need to use to create your final look.
Certain medications can also interfere with colour processes and alter the result.
All fittings require specific aftercare products to be used for the duration of wear. These are explained to you before fitting. These products must be used and in the event of any rare hair quality issues we reserve the right to not replace if the correct products have not been used. If any issues occur hair will need to be removed and sent back to the supplier for testing. If the supplier agrees there is a fault you will be offered a refund of the hair cost only. Or a replacement. Fitting of the replacement hair will need to be charged for, at a discounted rate.
Hair extensions colours Can also fade like natural hair and can need top up toners. And certain elements such as holidays and products containing UVB protection can have a chemical reaction on blondes it is as your own risk should you decide to wear hair extensions on holiday. All hair extensions require maintenance, your stylist will tell you when this maintenance will need to be carried out. Failure to adhere to this may result in damage and extra charges for longer appointments.
We want our clients to leave the salon happy and be happy with their hair. In the rare event you are unhappy please speak to your stylist, we do very thorough consultations so that we know what you would like to achieve. We do not offer refunds. Your stylist may offer to re-do or a discounted treatment. If we believe what you want to achieve is not achievable we will let you know this on consultation and keep you informed at every step of your process.
